About Sarah Merry

I’ve worked in Recruitment for 25 years after graduating from University of Nottingham. I have mostly specialised in Travel Recruitment – this covers all disciplines from admin, accounts to sales and marketing, customer services, operations from junior to executive level for any business that works in the Travel Industry.  After working for the UK’s leading Travel Recruiter for 18 years  I made the leap to set up Rockpool Recruitment at the end of 2018.  I was lucky enough to have clients follow me and we pretty much hit the ground running  until the pandemic hit 😊 This forced us to pivot and we are now 50% Travel and 50% local businesses across a variety of other industries.  We have also provided a Career Support Service to Businesses who have made redundancies – giving their employees a one to one service in the best ways to secure a new role. We also have our Rockstars service for young people looking for their first step into work.  We have been a volunteer on the steering group on the R&B Youth Hubs Scheme and I regularly work with Unis and Colleges to voluntarily give advice on CVs, interview techniques etc to young people.    

Rockpool is currently a team of 5 and I am looking for a further full time person currently who can help me manage the clients.  

I have 2 teenage boys ( neither of which will take any career advice from me obviously!)   and 4 dogs,  so never a dull moment in our house!
