What makes a great mentor?

What skills do you need to be a mentor?

You don’t need to have had previous experience as a mentor, we’re looking for business owners who are willing to share their expert knowledge and the benefit of their years of experience in business.

Each rbinspire mentor is recruited and selected on a combination of factors. You will need:

• To have a strong desire to help others
• Excellent listening skills and empathy
• Relevant business experience and knowledge
• Good understanding of the issues and concerns of small businesses in the local area
• Strong ethical standards in your business dealings
• The ability to mentor others as individuals and in the context of their business

You will also need to be able to commit around 3 hours each month to attend the mentor – mentee meetings facilitated at the Town Hall in Reigate between 5pm and 8pm.
